This place used to be on Stevens Creek next to JoAnnes fabrics, when they moved to DeAnza Blvd we followed. Our three kids have been going here on and off for almost 10 years. They learned to oil paint when they were young and have grown up with (I say this as a proud parent) great ability and enthusiasm for art. As youngsters they oil painted copies of photographs they liked - dragons, Unicorns, landscapes. They created impressive images and developed confidence and skill.

I've heard the staff will sometimes help the students by touching up their painting, but our kids did their own work - the proof is that our when kids paint at home they get similar results. They have varying levels of natural talent, but all three made great strides while working at Young at Art.

Our oldest is now a senior applying to Art colleges, and by all estimations has an excellent chance of getting into a world class art school. Not only was her early training at Young At Art valuable, but they even have a class to help prepare portfolios for colleges, staffed by folks who have graduated from leading art schools, such as Pratt Institute. This helped my senior prepare a killer portfolio.
